Port Blair, Feb. 26: Tourism Department of A&N Administration, as part of its initiative to promote, foster professionalism, ensuring safety, and opening up avenues for both employment and self-employment in the vibrant tourism industry is organizing a 12 days Tourist Guide Training Program in Port Blair from 26/02/2024 and will continue till 08/03/2024 including weekends. The training is being conducted in association with Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), Bhubaneswar.

Port Blair, Feb. 26: A Briefing Session for Sector Officers and Sector Police Officers was convened at Tagore Govt. College on Feb. 24, 2024 under the chairmanship of Shri Vinayak Chamadia, IAS, SDM (Nodal Officer). The session highlighted the pivotal role of Sector Officers in the upcoming election process. Shri Vinayak Chamadia welcomed all Sector Officers and Police Sectors present in the Briefing Session and informed about the agenda of the meeting i.e vulnerable mapping, checking of AMF and other allied facilities as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India.

Port Blair, Feb 25: In a significant step towards environmental conservation, EcoCreds, in collaboration with WITH YOU (NGO) conducted a beach cleaning drive at the picturesque Haddo sea shore on 24th February 2024. This initiative, part of our ongoing commitment to ecological sustainability, brought together the community and emphasized the critical importance of maintaining clean surroundings for the well-being of all living creatures.

Port Blair, Feb 25: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands to finalize Circle Rate for VS Palli and Sita Nagar Villages of North Andaman region.

In a letter addressed to the Lt. Governor, the Member of Parliament mentioned that a large number of islanders of the North Andaman region are waiting for finalisation of Circle Rate for VS Palli and Sita Nagar Villages of North Andaman.

Port Blair, Feb 25: Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Andaman & Nicobar welcomed the first tribal women President of India Smti. Droupadi Murmu on her five days’ visit to Andaman & Nicobar Islands. During her visit many issues were addressed in a gentle manner which will lead India in a brighter future on 21st February, 2024 at Raj Niwas, Port Blair.

The delegation of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Andaman & Nicobar also met Smti. Droupadi Murmu and represented the matter of Chota Nagpuri Ranchi Community. Issues and problems pertaining to the Chota Nagpuri Ranchi Community were discussed and the President assured that the issues will be taken to the Govt. of India in a right way.
